Robert Sanchez suffered the harsh reality of life as a top-flight goalkeeper.
Albion’s No.1 made one of his best saves in the Premier League since being promoted to replace Maty Ryan.
But his worst moment yet in the Prem led to Leicester grabbing a 2-1 win at the Amex.
Sanchez, commanding in their air until that point, came for a corner but failed to get anything on his punch or swat clear, and the ball went in off a surprised and delighted Daniel Amartey at the far post.
It was not all about Sanchez, of course. Not at all.
But his high and low summed up the course of this deflating defeat as the Seagulls remained three points clear of the drop zone.
Leicester stepped up a gear having trailed 1-0 at the break.
They had quality too as Kelechi Iheanacho was sent clear by a sublime disguised pass from Youri Tielemans to deftly bring the scores level.

ALBION PLAYERS TARGETED FOR ONLINE ABUSE
Albion will wonder whether they should have extended their tenth-minute lead during the first half.
The story looked like being all about Adam Lallana as he scored his first goal for the club.
Lallana linked smoothly with Neal Maupay – as he did later when the Frenchman netted but was a step offside.
There was also a header against the post by Lallana.
He was less effective in the second half - and it was his intended through pass, blocked by a defender, which led eventually to the leveller.
But he still forced Kasper Schmeichel into his only save with a low shot.
Sanchez’s stop at that same end earlier in proceedings was a stunner as he dived to his left and stuck out a strong hand to divert Sidnei Tavares’ shot behind.
But the lapse at that corner – just after Leicester had penalty shouts waved away as the sliding Lewis Dunk poked the ball away from Jamie Vardy – will be remembered.
That’s life as a goalkeeper. He will bounce back from it.
And that is life for Albion right now as they ponder a third successive defeat and another long week ahead.
