Albion are three points clear of the relegation zone after Fulham were held today.
The Cottagers, who are now unbeaten in five games, had the better of their game at Crystal Palace but drew 0-0.
They went close to a winner midway through the second half when Josh Maja was denied by Vicente Guaita from close range.
Fulham boss Scott Parker said: "We had some big chances."
Parker's side move to 23 points and are four behind Albion in the goal difference column.

They remain 18th but will climb out of the drop zone and above Newcastle if they beat Tottenham at Craven Cottage on Thursday.
Albion host Leicester on Saturday.
Newcastle go to West Brom at midday on Sunday, followed immediately by Fulham’s game at Liverpool.
