Albion have spoken to the Premier League and referees’ chiefs about their controversial disallowed goal at West Brom.
The Seagulls saw Lee Mason rule out Lewis Dunk’s quickly-taken free-kick.
There appeared to have been a major breakdown in procedure as Mason blew for no obvious reason with the ball heading into the net.
Albion have made their thoughts known to the league and the Professional Game Match Officials Limited.
Albion chief executive and deputy chairman Paul Barber told The Argus this morning: “We have formally conveyed our thoughts to both the Premier League and PGMOL, in person (by phone) and in writing. We will not be commenting any further on this matter.”
