How Albion's players rated as individuals in the 1-0 defeat at West Brom.
Robert Sanchez 7/10
A different type of challenge to many Premier League games and he generally stood up well to the high balls.
Joel Veltman 7/10
Not as eye-catching as in recent games but solid enough. Headed over with a good chance and also had a shot parried.
Ben White 6/10
A fairly untroubled afternoon defensively against Diagne but did not really add in terms of carrying the ball forward or passing.
Lewis Dunk 7/10
Probably the pick of the Albion bunch. Very unlucky not to be awarded a goal after some quick thinking at a free-kick. Sound defending and looked to progress the ball forward, something which Webster does and is missed in his absence.
Dan Burn 6/10
Has a tough mission standing in for March. Did quite well at times going forward, which he did often.
Yves Bissouma 6/10
Not necessarily a bad game but not the dominant force he was recently and there was some slack or laboured passing on occasion. Sent a shot way over.
Pascal Gross 6/10
Wasn't at his best with his passing but he still has the knack of making things happen. Missed one penalty and forced another by getting into the heart of the West Brom area. Some nice work, too, ahead of great chances for Maupay and Veltman before going close himself.
Alexis Mac Allister 5/10
Taken off at half-time and was not a major influence but still a couple of moments which might have made a difference, sliding Connolly in towards goal and forcing THAT free-kick.
Leandro Trossard 5/10
Had to come deep at times to get on the ball. One of those games where he took on a bit too much at times, especially late on. Seemed to frustrate both himself (reflected in concession of some needless fouls) and others.
Neal Maupay 6/10
A hard one to assess as a striker in that he did decent stuff away from goal to help others but failed to take a great chance himself late in the first half. Albion need a finisher.
Aaron Connolly 5/10
Tested Johnstone on his return to the side but was guilty of a glaring miss shortly before being withdrawn.
SUBS
Adam Lallana 6/10
Sent on at the break and admittedly more impact was expected from him. But he was involved in some of Albion's intricate passing, notably for the second penalty, and that contribution alone would maybe have been lauded had the spot kick been converted.
Danny Welbeck 5/10
It looked a fair call to send him on but it did not pay off - even when he stepped up to take a rare penalty.
Jakub Moder N/A
A short but positive outing.
