Graham Potter will urge Albion to bounce back from heartbreaking defeat and get the points they need to stay up.
The Seagulls remain just four points clear of the drop zone after losing to Crystal Palace.
They go to West Brom on Saturday afternoon with 17th-placed Newcastle hosting Wolves later in the day.
Fulham play on Sunday when they visit Palace.
Potter said: "When you analyse the game without the pain of the result, the boys gave everything. They pushed and pushed.
"We know we have not got enough points.
"We still have to get points because you can’t rely on anybody else.
"We have known that from day one.
"It is a really disappointing night in terms of the result but we have to put it behind us.
"We are human beings and we are hurting at the moment.
"I’m a human being as well and, when you see the team give everything they did and push, be the dominant team in the game and it felt like a matter of time until we were going to get something in their goal, it hurts."
Potter looked shellshocked when Christian Benteke hit the winner.
He added: "I think it would be strange if I didn’t feel like that.
"It isn’t pleasant but we have to use the pain to motivate us for the next game."
