Florin Andone is closing in on a return to full training.

But is unclear when or if he could feature again in the Premier League for Albion.

The striker posted photos of himself working on a training pitch at the club’s base in Lancing on social media recently.

He is back at the club after knee injuries marred his loan stint at Galatasaray.

Albion head coach Graham Potter said: "He is doing well. He is progressing. He is getting close to joining the group's training.

"That is good news for him. Credit to him for the work he has put in. It has been a long road. The physios have done a fantastic job with him.

"He is getting close to joining our group and then it is just a case of continuing that rehabilitation process.

"He will need some football training, he will need to build up his fitness in terms of football fitness.

WHY IS THIS EX-ALBION PROSPECT CELEBRATING?

"But it is positive for him that he is getting close."

Albion’s match at home to Crystal Palace tomorrow will bring back memories of one of Andone’s finest moments with the club when he scored a spectacular solo goal for the ten-man hosts two seasons ago.

Andone was forced out of the return fixture when he suffered an injury in the warm-up.
