Albion head coach Graham Potter has backed Roy Hodgson to get through a tough period at Crystal Palace, as the pair prepare to do battle on Monday night.
The 73-year-old is under pressure from Palace supporters with some putting banners outside their training ground earlier in the week, regarding recent results and their negative approach to matches.
However, Potter who has admired Hodgson during his career, has backed him to turn things around.
He said: “It is not for me to speak on behalf of Crystal Palace fans, all I can say is that Roy is someone that I respect a lot.
“The career that he has had is amazing, the job that he has done at Crystal Palace have been fantastic to keep them in the Premier League for so long, to it year in year out has been an amazing achievement.
“It was not so long ago that they had back-to-back wins in the league I think, so sometimes it is just the way it is.
“Results may not go your way and you get a few injuries, you can through those moments.
“But Roy is a man of extreme quality, who I have huge respect for as a football man and I’m sure with the right support he will come through any bad patch he has in his career.
