Albion want to see Danny Welbeck turn on the style again versus Aston Villa - after wrapping him in cotton wool for the FA Cup.
The centre-forward remained on the bench during the fifth-round defeat at Leicester City.
He could feature tomorrow as the Seagulls aim for a double over Villa.
Welbeck opened his account for the club with a stylish finish in the 2-1 win at Villa Park.
He has been troubled by injury of late.
Graham Potter sent him on as sub in last week’s draw at Burnley but opted not to use him at the King Power on Wednesday.
Albion’s head coach told The Argus: “He was involved against Burnley and I think he got on for about 30 minutes.
“That was his first football for a while, six weeks or so.
“We are trying to build him into it.
“I think if he had played too much (on Wednesday) night it might have put him out of contention for Aston Villa. That was the thinking.
IS THIS WHY ALBION SWITCHED OFF?
HOW THINGS STAND WITH WEBSTER AND PROPPER
“It was a really cold night and Danny, with what he has been through with hamstring and muscle and stuff, to put him on was a bit of a consideration as well.
“But he has trained with the group for the past week.
“He is getting better and better and stronger so he is ready to help the team.”
