Albion hope Adam Webster will be fit for their next Premier League test.

But injury will force him to miss out on action at the King Power Stadium – for the third time in eight months.

The defender has been ruled out of Wednesday’s FA Cup tie at Leicester City after rolling his ankle in the draw at Burnley.

Head coach Graham Potter today admitted he could not be sure Webster will be available for the visit of Aston Villa to the Amex on Saturday.

But he reiterated the message he gave post-match at Turf Moor – that the injury is not serious.

Potter said today: “He’s not too bad, still a little bit of swelling.

“The game against Leicester will be too soon for him.

“We will wait and see whether he can make the weekend, it’s still a little bit early.

“We will probably know in the next 24, 48 hours. As it stands it’s not a serious one.

GRAHAM POTTER'S PRESS CONFERENCE

“He rolled his ankle, the back of his ligament.

“It’s not too bad, but it’s a little bit sore. We will have to see how it settles down in the next 24, 48 hours.”

Webster has started every Prem game this season except that at Leicester in December, when concern over his groin meant he stayed on the bench.

He played away to the Foxes last June - but only briefly.

He was forced off midway through the first half of the 0-0 draw with a hamstring issue.
