Robert Sanchez has been hailed as "a monster" in goal for Albion.

But Graham Potter says he has a lot of progress to make - helped by coaches Ben Roberts and Casper Ankergren.

Sanchez was a commanding presence and made several saves as the his side drew 1-1 at Burnley.

It was arguably his best Premier League display yet, even though his saw a run of four clean sheets came to an end.

Potter has put huge faith in Sanchez this season and enjoyed his performance at Turf Moor.

The head coach said: “He is a monster in terms of his physicality.

“He’s not just big but he is powerful, he is fast.

HOW ALBION PLAYERS RATED AT BURNLEY

“In terms of attributes as a goalkeeper, he has got everything to be a top goalkeeper.

“We have to keep helping him, supporting him. I thought he was really good.

“He made some good saves but also aerially helped out because Burnley challenge you in the box.

“HE WAS A GREAT SHAPE AND SIZE, GOOD PHYSIQUE, ATHLETIC." HOW ALBION SPOTTED ROBERT SANCHEZ IN SPAIN

“I’m pleased for him. It’s another step forward in his development but he has still got a lot to do and he has still got a lot of experience to gather.”

Sanchez has a habit of offering opponents very little to aim at – other than his imposing frame.

Potter said: “I’m sure Rob would say the same, that Ben has been fantastic and he is fantastic.

“We are lucky to have him. He helps all the guys. The role he plays is enormous for us.

“It’s about his position to start with to make the save and use the physicality he has, the attributes he has, and I know Ben and Casper have worked really well with the goalkeepers.”
