Sean Dyche said he was left scratching his head as to how Burnley did not beat Albion.
But he was willing to appreciate the Seagulls were coming off a big week.
Albion dug in to force a 1-1 draw at Turf Moor.
They weathered a storm in rain-lashed East Lancs to add a point to momentous wins over Tottenham and Liverpool in the previous seven days.
Graham Potter praised his side's efforts to cap a big week.
Clarets boss Dyche said: “I thought it was a head-scratcher we didn’t get all three points.
“I’m very pleased with the performance. Only a tiny bit frustrated we don’t get all three because it was a very pleasing performance from the players.”
FULL-TIME VERDICT FROM BURNLEY
He added: “They have had big performances this week and it can take it out of their players.
“I’m not taking away from our players but it can.
“Maybe there’s a bit of that but that’s the way it goes.
“We’ve had those performances recently and we’ve had to follow in and get on with the next game.”
