Alexis Mac Allister has been hailed as the “intellectual author” of the move which beat Spurs.
His fans back home in Argentina are latching on to Mac Allister’s impressive impact in the Premier League after a long wait to shine.
Mac Allister’s through ball back into the path of Pascal Gross led to Leandro Trossard scoring the only goal as Albion beat Tottenham.
He was also key in moves which saw Pascal Goss hit the post and Aaron Connolly have a great chance near the end.
Leading sports newspaper and website Olé said: “Mac Allister was decisive in the win and was the intellectual author of the move which ended in the only goal of the match.
“The ex Boca and Argentinos man played a pass through the lines into the run of Gross, who sent his cross back to meet Trossard.
“Alexis also had a spectacular overhead kick and a shot from long range which went close to the top corner.”
The overhead kick did not lead to much but made for eye-catching photos.
But Graham Potter is delighted with the way his forwards are linking – while aware there are options such as Danny Welbeck still to come in.
