Former Albion right-back Ezequiel Schelotto is heading back to Argentina.
The free agent is expected to sign for top-flight outfit Racing of Avellaneda.
Schelotto has been without a club since running out of contract with the Seagulls at the end of last season.
He has remained in Brighton and Hove and has kept fit running along the seafront, training in local parks and even taking winter dips in the sea.
Schelotto, 31, is expected to sign a three-year deal having already reached verbal agreement.
HOW POTTER SEES HIS GOALKPEEPING SITUATION
Racing will be the first club for whom he has played professionally in his homeland.
He began his career in Italy with Cesena almost 13 years ago.
A move back to Italy looked likely at one point last year but belt-tightening due to the Covid crisis has made it a tough marketplace in which to find a club.
