Graham Potter does not expect to add to his goalkeeping ranks in the transfer window.

The Albion boss was pleased to see Christian Walton enjoy an outing in the win over Blackpool after recovering from injury.

Walton was largely untroubled once he had made a good save high to his left from Luke Garbutt’s free-kick at 0-0.

Potter said: “You can see his quality. He is ambitious, he has top level attributes so we are happy to have him with us and competing for a place.

“It wasn’t an easy game for him to show what he is about “But there was one good save from a free-kick and he was neat and tidy with his distribution.

“Apart from that not too much. Good for him to get to some game time.”

Robert Sanchez was on the bench with Jason Steele unwell.

RYAN'S MESSAGE TO ALBION

Potter does not envisage adding to his goalkeeping resources this window, despite seeing Maty Ryan join Arsenal on loan.

He said: “We just move forward and keep working with the guys we have got. I don’t see any change.

“We are happy with those three.

“Different attributes, different personalities but a good mix for us.”

Thomas McGill, who has returned from loan at Crawley, played for the under-23s in a 5-0 defeat at Arsenal on Friday.
