Albion are preparing for the departure of coach Simon Rusk.
The under-23s boss appears set to take charge at National League outfit Stockport County, assisted by ex-Seagulls boss Mark McGhee.
Although it is understood the situation remained ongoing this afternoon, the expectation is Rusk will be confirmed as successor to long-serving Jim Gannon at Edgeley Park.
He would follow Nathan Jones and Joaquin Gomez, who have moved on from the coaching staff to head coach or manager roles elsewhere.
Jones was in charge of his Luton side at Chelsea today while Gomez has a head coach role in Finland.
ALBION LEARN THEIR FA CUP FATE
The Argus understands Albion would be supportive of Rusk – or other staff members – moving on to more senior positions at other clubs.
They see such progress as a very good endorsement of the work they are doing to develop their staff.
