Graham Potter was delighted to see Steven Alzate open his goal account for Albion.
Even though it came via a lucky deflection.
Alzate was credited with the winner as the Seagulls beat Blackpool 2-1 in the FA Cup.
The ball bounced in off his back when Alexis Mac Allister tried a shot from outside the box.
Head coach Potter said: “It was good play from Alexis.
“He (Alzate) just gets a bit of luck.
“In fairness, when he has played, previously he has got into shooting opportunities and could have had some goals but the final bit has let him down or he has been a bit unlucky.
BISSOUMA HAS CHAMPIONS LEAGUE QUALITY
“As in anything in life and football, you need a bit of luck and he got that.”
Alzate scored in an FA Cup tie against York City three years ago while on loan to Swindon, a club for whom he also netted twice in league fixtures.
His only goal for previous club Leyton Orient came in the first senior start of his career to help in a 4-0 win at Newport County almost four years ago.
