Percy Tau is in “a good space” as he hopes to fulfil his Premier League dream.
Tau is hoping for a work permit to allow him to play for Albion.
The Argus has been advised in the last half-hour by a well-placed source that the process to add the South Africa forward to the Seagulls’ squad remains “ongoing”.
Meanwhile Tau's compatriot Bongani Zungu, who plays for Rangers, has admitted he would love to see it happen.
Zungu told the hugely popular Murawa Sports Worldwide radio show in South Africa this afternoon: “I spoke to him today.
“He is in a good space and we are just hoping for the best.
“I really can’t go into details.”
Asked about the chance to play in the Premier League, Zungu said: "That is his dream. My dream too.
THE NUMBERS BEHIND ALBION'S STRUGGLES TO HOLD A LEAD
“I just hope it happens because he has got it (a contract), he is contracted by a team.”
Expectation among Tau’s army of fans in South Africa appears to be reaching fever pitch as they hope to see their hero perform in the Prem.
