Albion's season will continue – with the nation placed back on lockdown.
Prime minister Boris Johnson this evening announced revised measures aimed at curbing the spread of Covid.
Outdoor team sport will not be permitted, but elite sport – for example the Premier League – can continue.
The “elite sport” definition has always included all football down to and including the sixth tier.
That means Crawley Town and Eastbourne Borough remain active.
It also gives the go ahead for FA Cup ties such as Albion’s trip to Newport and Crawley’s home clash with Leeds United, both on Sunday.
The WSL season continues - as does horse-racing.
