Neal Maupay ended his long wait for a goal as he struck at the London Stadium today.
The forward, playing just off Danny Welbeck, struck right on half-time.
His first goal in nine appearances rewarded a dominant opening 45 minutes by the Seagulls and secured a 1-0 interval lead.
It was his first goal since the opening four games of the season.
Dan Burn, brought into the side in place of Joel Veltman, played a massive part.
Playing on the left of defence, he passed the ball forward to Solly March.
Burn then made up a lot of ground to get outside March on the overlap.

March played the right pass and, though Maupay could not initially convert Burn’s low cross, he finished on the turn when the ball bounced back to him off Declan Rice.
Albion had dominated possession in the first half but not really trouble Lukasz Fabianski.
The home goalkeeper held an Adam Webster header from a corner and dived low to his right to save from March.
West Ham appeared to have set up to stop Albion playing – and Graham Potter’s side happily took the initiative.
