West Ham manager David Moyes has backed Graham Potter to succeed at Albion.
The Hammers host the Seagulls on Sunday at the London Stadium.
Albion currently sit 17th in the Premier League table, just two points above the relegation zone, with only two wins to their name this season.
However, Moyes believes Potter will be able to achieve great things with the Seagulls, but admits it will take time.
He said: "I think Brighton have given Graham Potter the opportunity to do what he's doing.
“They've got a good recruitment policy and they're building. It might take a bit of time to get them in a stable position, but they have a team full of good players.”
Despite the Seagulls recent form, both of their wins this season have come on the road and Moyes is expecting a tough afternoon for his side.
He said: “I think they play good football and it's going to be a tough game for us."
