Albion head coach Graham Potter is happy with his attacking options ahead of the January transfer window.

The Seagulls have only managed to score 16 goals this season, of which seven have been provided by their strikers.

Neal Maupay started the season well scoring four goals in his first four league games.

However, he has yet to find the net since the start of October.

Aaron Connolly was on target early on in the season, in the 3-0 win over Newcastle but has not added to his solitary goal.

Danny Welbeck was signed in October on a one-year-deal.

He started well with a great finish on his second start for Albion in their 2-1 win over Aston Villa last month.

The 30-year-old striker then scored his second goal of the season on Sunday to rescue a point against Sheffield United.

With the January transfer window just around the corner, Potter was asked if spending £20 million on a striker is the simple solution to Albion’s goalscoring issue.

To which he replied: “I don’t think it as simple as that, you only have to look at the league and there is a lot of £20 million players that haven’t succeeded to start with.

“It feels like the easy solution and believe you me if that type of player is there then we will of course do our best to do it.

"But I think it is always a collective problem and a collective challenge and that is what we have to work with.

"I am happy with what we have."
