Steven Alzate enjoyed valuable playing time as he aims for a return to the Premier League.
The midfielder got a full 90 minutes for Albion under-23s at Southampton on a good night for the club’s emerging midfielders.
Max Sanders scored with a super finish and Jayson Molumby skippered the side as he also got valuable minutes.
Alzate made a bright start to the Prem season, notably with his performance alongside Yves Bissouma in the 3-0 win at Newcastle.
But, after starting the first four games, he has been out of the side since the first international break.

Sanders scored on 36 minutes with a right-foot finish into the top corner.
Robert Sanchez, who made his Prem debut at Tottenham recently, kept the lead intact with a super stop from Nathan Tella.
