Graham Potter says there is "no problem" with Neal Maupay and has cleared him to play against Burnley.

The Frenchman was left out the side which was beaten 2-1 away at Spurs on Sunday.

Potter said it was a "tactical" decision speaking prior to and soon after the game.

However, reports then emerged regarding concerns over his attitude.

Speaking in his press conference this afternoon Potter gave this update on the situation.

He said:"I spoke before the game and spoke about tactical reasons.

"And I think when I use the word tactical it can be seen as 4-2-3-1, a system or a formation.

"Sometimes you have to make decisions that are right for the group.

"But sometimes mistakes are made and tempers are high, people get frustrated and emotional, which you want to a certain extent.

"We are in professional sport at the highest level and sometimes the line gets crossed and it is how you react to that.

"There is no problem with Neal, it is something we have deal with as an incident and moved forward from it.

"He has trained with us this week and accepts it wasn’t his finest hour.

"But he is a young man that is going to make mistakes like we all do and have done.

"He then has to take responsibility for them and we move forward as a group and are stronger for them."
