Dale Stephens is expected to complete his move to Burnley.
The midfielder is understood to be heading to London today - rather than Preston, where Albion are in action - to tie up details.
He will undergo a medical with Clarets' staff who are in the capital for their team’s Carabao Cup tie at Millwall.

If all goes through successfully, he could even make a debut against one of his former clubs when Southampton visit Turf Moor on Saturday.
Meanwhile Albion boss Graham Potter will have to make at one midfield change to the side which beat Portsmouth last week as they tackle Preston in the third round (7pm).
