Albion expect to see goalkeeper Christian Walton back in action after next month’s international break.

The ankle he injured in the pre-season friendly against Chelsea has now been removed from a protective boot and rehabilitation is under way.

Head coach Graham Potter said: “He is still waiting to see another specialist, see how it has initially reacted coming out of a pot.

“I don’t think it’s as bad as we initially felt.

“I think you’d be looking at the other side of the international break for him.

“A lot will depend on how he reacts at different stages of the rehab process.”
