Graham Potter says he is happy with the squad he has – but is open to adding the right person and player.
Albion’s head coach has praised the “personality” his side showed on a tough night against Chelsea on Monday.
The Seagulls are understood to still be looking to add with centre-forward seemingly an obvious target area.
Potter will make line-up changes tomorrow when Portsmouth visit in the Carabao Cup (7.45pm, Sky Sports).
He said: “You try to find the right person, the right player, if you can to help the team that is already here but it isn’t so straightforward.
“I’m happy with what we have got, I’m happy with the group, I’m happy with the personality we showed the other night.
“We just need to carry on trying to get better.
“Performance-wise there were lots of positives but we are still disappointed with the fact we came away with nothing.

“That’s where the work is, to try to turn positive performances not positive results.
“In any game you can do things a little bit better but overall there was lots to be positive about.
“We need to focus on those as well as looking to the areas we can improve.
“The personality of the players was really good.
“I really liked their spirit on the pitch and what they were trying to do.
“Of course, no one is perfect but the personality on the pitch is something we can go forward with.”
