Jose Izquierdo has rejoined Albion's squad.
Head coach Graham Potter revealed the injury-hit winger has returned from Colombia, where he did some of his rehab work.
But he is not putting any pressure on him to rush back to Premier League action.
Izquierdo has not played since the latter stages of Chris Hughton’s tenure as manager due to a knee injury.
There is no time frame yet as to when he could return to match action.
Potter told a BBC Sussex fans forum: “He is getting closer to the pitch.
"He has been training with the group for the last week – not fully but starting to integrate within the team.
"He still needs a bit more time but it is promising that he is out there with the lads because it has been a long, lonely road.
"It’s positive but I wouldn’t want to put any more timescales on it and put any more pressure because he has been out for so long.”
