Graham Potter says he would add experience to his squad – if it were the right player.
Albion are ready for several weeks of transfer activity and speculation with unconfirmed reports already circulating of interest in free agent Adam Lallana.
Potter and technical director Dan Ashworth so far have tended to go for younger talents who are new to the Premier League as they develop their squad.
Asked in general terms whether he needed to add some Premier League know-how in the window, head coach Potter told The Argus: “It has to be the right experience.
“Experience isn’t necessarily positive.
“It depends what type of experience it is and what they bring and what the mentality is.
“For me, it is more about the individual, the personality, what they believe they can do, how coachable and how much they want to be part of what we are trying to achieve here.
“It’s going to be an interesting summer in lots of ways.
“We will try and help the group we have got and see if we can strengthen.
“Why interesting? Because it’s a shorter break, shorter pre-season time.
“We are at the back end of a strange period in all of our lives.”
