Albion could tie up the signing of emerging Wigan midfielder Jensen Weir.
A well-placed source in the North West believes the Seagulls are closing in on a deal for the highly-regarded 18-year-old.
The Scotland youth international is the son of David Weir, who looks after Albion’s players out on loan.
He is one of least three exciting prospects currently on the club’s radar as they plan summer business.
Meanwhile two more Irish youngsters are set to link up with the Albion academy, reports the Irish Independent.
Playmaker Andrew Moran and centre-back Leigh Kavanagh are both 16 and will continue Albion’s strong links with Ireland at youth and development squad level.
Their farewell season in the League of Ireland has been cut short by the coronavirus-related stoppage.
They have continued to train with current club Bray but have played their last games for the club.
