Aaron Connolly is fit for Albion action after surgery – having not missed a match.

The young Irish striker needed an operation after hurting his knee in the run-up to the planned fixture at home to Arsenal on March 14.

He went under the knife very early in the Premier League shutdown and is now ready to play.

Jose Izquierdo remains the only absentee for the restart fixtures. His fellow Colombia international Steven Alzate is still awaiting a minor groin operation and will have to be carefully managed.

Albion’s first opponents Arsenal beat Charlton 6-0 in a warm-up run-out at the Emirates on Saturday, helped by an Eddie Nketiah hat-trick.

League One outfit Portsmouth are believed to be keen to play Albion in a friendly.
