Graham Potter said Albion deserved more against Crystal Palace.
The Seagulls were sent to a 1-0 defeat by a goal from his former Swansea striker Jordan Ayew.
Albion had several chances at 0-0 but failed to make the most of them.
Head coach Potter said: “We certainly had some good ones.
“No criticism from my perspective of the boys, they gave everything again.
“I thought we were the better team.
“They didn’t do too much to get their goal, which is disappointing, against the run of play but it happens in football.
“We created enough, we did enough in the game to get something from it.
“That is why it feels disappointing and a sore one for us.”
