HOPE POWELL insists she will not change her policy of giving players a chance in the Conti Cup despite Albion being able to seal a quarter-final spot with a win tonight.
Seagulls are second in group B - just a point above Bristol City - and finish the group stages at WSL Championship side London City.
Despite qualification not being secure Powell will rotate her squad and give some youngsters an opportunity.
She said: “We want to do well in every game we play regardless of the competition, but the cup does give me an opportunity to have a look at other players, especially some of the younger squad from the academy.
“Maya (Le Tissier) featured in it quite a bit last season and has kind of broken through into the first team, which is great.
“We are looking to bring in Libby Bance again, who did really in our last cup game against London Bees.
“The challenge is the academy also have a game (today) and we can’t leave them too short.
“It does give me a chance to experiment a little, albeit the focus is to very much win the game.”
