Albion have been warned to be on guard against Norwich City’s creative attackers.

And they have only to look to the Premier League leaders to see why.

Seagulls boss Graham Potter believes promoted Norwich, who come to the Amex tomorrow, showed the danger they can cause on opening night at Anfield.

The Canaries created several openings, having 12 attempts at goal, and were harshly treated by a 4-1 defeat to Liverpool.

Potter’s Swansea side lost 4-1 to Norwich in the Championship last season.

He said: “They overload well, they have a good understanding of how they are attacking and they create chances.

“Even at Liverpool in the first game of the season, they created a lot of chances. I haven’t seen too many teams do that.

“The score was against them, of course, but they are that type of team who attack really well.”

Norwich are 19th in the table but Potter is not expecting an easy game.

He added: “This time last year they probably weren’t even a top Championship team.

“They have stuck with things, under a bit of pressure last year but carried on.

“They have recruited really well – intelligently and creatively.

“They have promoted young players and have a real clear identity of how they want to pay.

“It’s probably a shame for them they have had few injuries in defensive positions which have affected them.”

Shane Duffy returns to Albion’s defensive options after missing the win over Everton with a minor calf issue.
