Shane Duffy will be out for “weeks rather than days” after suffering a calf injury.
The Albion defender has gone for a scan following his early exit from the Carabao Cup tie against Aston Villa.
Head coach Graham Potter said: “We will see the extent of that but it looks like it will be weeks rather than days with him.”
Alireza Jahanbakhsh and Solly March could return for Saturday’s trip to Chelsea.
Bernardo (knee) is also out but Glenn Murray, Neal Maupay and Dale Stephens, who has been ill, are available.
