Graham Potter says he is open to new faces ahead of the transfer deadline.

But the Albion boss added he is “not disappointed” at a quiet window so far in terms of signings.

Leandro Trossard was the only summer arrival among the 13 men actively involved in the 4-0 friendly win at Birmingham.

Matt Clarke was among an array of unused subs.

Potter told The Argus: “I think you have got to work until the end of the window to try and improve.

“Firstly, try to improve the players we have got here, improve the group.

“Then, of course, if there any options to help the group get better, we will look into that.”

Albion’s assistant head of recruitment Kyle Macaulay, who arrived with Potter from Swansea in May, was back at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday for the friendly against Atalanta.

Meanwhile Neal Maupay, the Brentford forward who is of interest to Albion among other clubs, was not involved in yesterday's friendly against Bournemouth.

Bees boss Thomas Frank said: “There is ongoing interest for him. He is training and that’s where it stands.”
