How Albion's players rated against Derby County...
DAVID BUTTON 6: Had little to occupy him apart from a couple of saves of the routine variety. Caused a scare when dropping a cross late-on.
BRUNO (above) 7: Still has that understanding with Knockaert when they play together, as the first half demonstrated. Derby left-winger Holmes was subbed at half-time.
SHANE DUFFY 7: Marauding run forward delighted the crowd but his key contribution came early in the second half, heading clear sub Marriott's shot.
DAN BURN 7: Another accomplished display on only his third appearance, all in the FA Cup. Little unfortunate that his clearance fell to Cole for Derby's goal.
BERNARDO 6: Almost wrapped it up at 2-0 from a corner when Roos foiled his acrobatic volley one-handed. Troubled by Jozefoon when he came on.
DALE STEPHENS 7: Called in when Albion confirmed Propper would not make it and did a pretty sound job at the base of the midfield as others grabbed the glory.
YVES BISSOUMA 8: Brilliant first half and a pretty good second. Was too good, fast and strong for his Derby opponents and played a massive part in both goals. Such a shame he will miss the quarters.
BERAM KAYAL 7: Another who took his chance to offer a reminder of what he is all about, particularly in the first half. Full of energy and tidy on the ball.
ANTHONY KNOCKAERT (above) 8: Tested Roos in both halves with his left foot and scored with a crisply struck right-footer. Caused Derby plenty of problems.
JURGEN LOCADIA 7: Quite quiet but great to see him score a tap-in after getting into a poacher’s position by outmanoeuvring Tomori. Not so good to see him being carried off.
ALIREZA JAHANBAKHSH 7: It still feels like the best is yet to come but he was involved in plenty of promising little bits and pieces and combined with Bissouma in the build-up to the first goal.
SUBS
Viktor Gyokeres: Looks keen, promising but raw. Twice denied by Roos.
Pascal Gross: Almost settled the nerves late on.
