Albion are expected to be without Glenn Murray for the visit of Wolves to the Amex next Saturday.
But boss Chris Hughton has confirmed his leading marksman is relatively unscathed after his sickening clash of heads at Newcastle.
Murray is not flying back south with the team tonight following the accidental incident with Newcastle defender Federico Fernandez which initially left him unconscious.
But that is only because of a prior arrangement to remain in his native north-east.
Hughton said: "Glenn is from up here, so he was always planning on staying up. We'll do what's appropriate this week. There are certainly rules and regulations as regards anybody having concussion. We'll certainly abide by them.
"He's okay. He's been discharged from hospital. He is sore. He was (knocked) out. We will be doing the appropriate things but he's had everything he's needed to have, the correct scans, and everything is fine.
"It will just be a question now of recovery. He'll obviously be sore for a while."
Play was delayed for several minutes after the early clash (above). Physio Adam Brett rushed to Murray's aid amid fears he may have swallowed his tongue and there was widespread concern for his well-being as he was eventually stretchered off.
Hughton "Yes, there was fear, only because of when you see players' reactions. From where we are we had no idea. We knew what had happened and there had been a collision but we had no other detail.
"When you see the players as stressed as they were it makes you more concerned."
