Pascal Gross is back in training with Albion.
The influential German No.10 took part in a full contact session with team-mates not on international duty at the Lancing training complex this morning.
Gross's involvement has raised hopes that he will be fit for a return to action soon, possibly as early as Saturday's visit to Newcastle.
He has not played since suffering ankle damage in the home draw against Fulham on September 1.
Boss Chris Hughton has sometimes changed the formation during Gross's absence.
Solly March was used in the No.10 role in the 1-0 home win over West Ham before the international break.
Spanish right-back Martin Montoya also trained today after missing the victory over the Hammers.
It is unclear whether Dale Stephens (hamstring) will be available for the trip to Newcastle.
His regular midfield partner Davy Propper is expected to be sidelined by an ankle injury whih prompted his withdrawal from the Dutch squad.
An injury has ruled regular left-back Gaetan Bong out of Cameroon's African Nations Cup qualifier in Malawi tomorrow afternoon.
