Albion could be without regulars Dale Stephens and Pascal Gross for Saturday’s trip to Premier League champions Manchester City.
Stephens was an early casualty in the 2-1 home defeat by Spurs with hamstring trouble.
Gross (ankle) was missing for the second match running against the North Londoners.
Beram Kayal replaced Stephens and could now make his first start of the season at the Etihad.
Manager Chris Hughton said: “I thought Beram when he came on showed really good energy, particularly with the three we had in the middle of the park.
“That gave us an opportunity to press and press high from there but in that central position, particularly with (Yves) Bissouma still feeling his feet and becoming accustomed to the way we want to play in the middle of the park, it was a blow (Stephens).
“All we can hope is it’s not as bad as we first thought. It’s something that he felt so he had to come off.”
Albion have never been without Stephens and Gross simultaneously for a Premier League game.
Meanwhile, Albion are weighing up whether Colombian World Cup winger Jose Izquierdo (knee) makes a comeback in the under-23s at Leicester tonight (7pm).
Hughton said: “He’s trained and trained well. There’s an under-23s game on Monday and we’ll make a decision whether he has any involvement in that game. At this moment, touch wood, he’s injury free. It’s just about him now developing his fitness and making himself available.”
