Albion newcomer Percy Tau could be loaned out to Royal Union Saint Gilloise - the Belgian club now owned by chairman Tony Bloom.
The Argus understands they are the likely destination for the reigning South African player of the season.
Albion completed the complicated capture of forward Tau from Mamelodi Sundowns last month for around £3 million.
The signing of the 24-year-old was accompanied by plans to send him out on loan as a route through work permit restrictions.
Tau could now play a part in Brussels-based RUSG's bid for promotion back to the top tier in Belgium.
The deal does not have to be completed by Thursday, when the Premier League transfer window shuts. The Belgian window does not close until the end of the month.
Bloom became majority shareholder of 11-times Belgian champions RUSG in May.
