Jurgen Locadia faces a race to be fit for the start of Albion's Premier League season.
The Dutch striker is expected to be out for a fortnight with a groin injury sustained in Saturday's friendly at AFC Wimbledon.
Albion's opening Premier League fixture is at Watford on August 11.
Boss Chris Hughton, speaking about Locadia after tonight's friendly draw at Charlton, said: "It's good news. He felt his groin on Saturday and you can think the worst. It's minor but he will still probably be a couple of weeks."
New Romanian striker Florin Andone (groin) and Jose Izquierdo, just back from World Cup duty with Colombia, will not be involved in this Saturday's friendly at Birmingham.
They have been earmarked for outings in a match behind closed doors away to Nice next Tuesday.
Richie Towell (back) and substitute James Tilley (ribs) went off in the draw at Charlton.
