Chris Hughton has praised Shane Duffy’s form this season – and urged him to shrug off his costly error.
The Irish defender’s back-pass teed up alert Steve Mounie to score for Huddersfield at the Amex.
Albion had to settle for a 1-1 draw having gone ahead three minutes earlier.
Hughton said: “It was one of those things.
“When you get a player who has been as good as he has been this season, he will be the first one – and he has been – to hold his hand up./ “You just hope that any mistake you make doesn’t lead to a goal.
“Unfortunately for us it did.”
Duffy offered apologies on Twitter last night, writing: “One of those days. Apologies everyone! Great game to put it right next week.”
