Shane Duffy has revealed how the goal that launched Arsenal's downfall against Albion was plotted on the training ground.
The Seagulls have been good at conceding goals from corners in the Premier League this season but not scoring from them.
Duffy and partner Lewis Dunk have both gone close in several games.
Dunk scored his fourth own goal of the campaign in the previous home match against Swansea - but he pounced at the right end this time after only six minutes against the Gunners, sweeping in Duffy's header back across the face of goal at the far post from Pascal Gross's corner (below).
Duffy told The Argus: "It's about time. I should have about ten this year!
"We knew it would come. I'm delighted for the big man after everything that has gone on with the unfortunate own goals.
"He takes it well. I said to him after he owes me one. He was solid again - he's unbelievable.
"I am delighted for him and I think the manager is more happy than anyone that one of us scored.
"The lads (analysts) do a lot with set pieces, video stuff, and everyone knows watching Arsenal there are chances at set pieces. We thought we could get at them.
"The manager worked on it yesterday (Saturday), where I go around the back and try to pick Glenn and Dunky out. It worked and fair play, the lads knew.
"No-one marked us, it's just all zonal, so if we could get a run on them....and we did. It worked well for us for once."
Back-up central defender Connor Goldson also scored recently at the Amex against Coventry in the FA Cup.
Duffy said: "It's just me and Uwe (Huenemeier) now. I've been close probably every game and had a few chances. I know I will get one, it's just about being patient, keep at it, don't beat myself up too much.
"Our home record has been unbelievable for three years. We've only lost to probably the three best teams in the league (Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea).
"It's great to beat a team and a club like Arsenal. The lads are happy, the manager's happy and so are the fans."
