Whitehawk boss Steve King has revealed why has brought Arnaud Mendy back to the club.
The highly-experienced former Derby County midfielder has completed his return to the TerraPura Ground.
He is on board in time to face leaders Dartford tomorrow.
Meanwhile Ryan Worrall, to Tonbridge Angels, and Michael Cain have left the club.
Mendy has been playing for Naxxar Lions in Malta.
He played for Hawks in King’s previous stint in charge, including the famous FA Cup draw at Dagenham.
Now his role will be to add strength and know-how alongside David Ijaha in the engine room of Hawks’ 4-2-3-1 set-up.
King told The Argus: “He gives us more presence in midfield.
“He is strong, he wins headers, he wins tackles, he can pass.
“He did well for us when he was here last time and I’ve worked with him at Macclesfield, sold him to Luton.
“He has got a chance of bringing some stability in the centre of the pitch.
"We have been relying too much on Dave in there.”
