ALBION are interested in highly-rated Charlton defender Ezri Konsa.
Boss Chris Hughton ran the rule over Konsa on a visit to The Valley earlier this month.
The Seagulls could battle it out with Premier League rivals Everton for the versatile 20-year-old, who is expected to fetch a fee of around £4 million.
Konsa was a member of the England under-20s squad that won their World Cup in South Korea last year.
He has already accumulated 68 senior appearances for the League One Addicks and scouts have been flocking to South London to keep tabs on him.
Konsa is best known as a central defender but some of his 23 outings this season have been made at right-back.
Owner Roland Duchatelet, currently negotiating the possible sale of Charlton, is open to a deal for Konsa if the price is right.
The Argus understands his potential capture by Albion is not directly connected to their desire to send Connor Goldson out on loan this month providing a suitable replacement can be found.
