GLENN MURRAY is confident of a scoring run in the Premier League for Albion now he is close to peak condition.
The centre-forward struck twice last time out at West Ham, his first goals of the season after ankle trouble.
Murray, 34, said: “It’s not nice going through a dry patch, how ever old you are. I was quite calm about it, because I wasn’t fully fit.
“People around you sometimes get a little bit edgy, especially the older you get, but I was comfortable that as long as I got fit that I could score goals.
“Obviously I need to be provided. I was last year in the Championship and I know the boys are good enough to create chances and provide goals, and I’m pretty comfortable that I’ll be able to put them away.”
Murray leads the line against Southampton on Sunday (1.30pm) at the Amex, where he scored 19 of his 23 goals in the Championship last season.
