ALBION and other Premier League clubs remain in dispute with the Big Six over the distribution of overseas TV money.

But they are expected to eventually thrash out a compromise agreement.

The Seagulls are among the clubs opposing Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool, who want a bigger slice of the income to reflect their greater appeal.

A plan by the League’s executive chairman, Richard Scudamore for 35% of global revenue to be divided according to positions in the table was blocked in a meeting at the start of the month.

The next meeting of clubs, due to take place in London today, has been shelved after the Premier League announced yesterday there was no consensus for change.

Clubs are likely to agree further down the line a compromise which protects the share for Albion and the rest while appeasing the Big Six.

The £3 billion overseas deal for the current and next two seasons generates £39 million per year for each club.

The Big Six want more to reflect booming interest in international markets such as China and the United States.

Southampton’s visit to the Amex on Sunday (1.30pm) is the sixth time in ten matches that Albion have been selected for live TV in the domestic market by Sky Sports or BT Sport.

The Seagulls’ following home game, against Stoke on Monday November 20 (8pm), has also attracted live coverage.
