Eastbourne will take a 12-point lead into the second leg of the National League Grand Final after fog forced an early end at Arlington tonight.
The IT First Eagles led 45-33 when referee Dave Robinson called a halt after heat 13.
Conditions had worsened steadily on a mild, damp night at the East Sussex circuit.
Robinson could not see incidents clearly on the opposite side of the stadium to his control room, which is located above the start/finish line.
The result stands and the sides will decide the title at Belle Vue on Wednesday.
