Tony Bloom has revealed his Premier League masterplan for Albion.
The owner-chairman wants to establish the Seagulls in the top flight – without breaking the bank.
Albion reached the Premier League for the first time at the Amex on Easter Monday when they beat Wigan and Huddersfield could only draw at Derby.
They will now be tackling the likes next season of Roman Abramovich’s Chelsea and Sheikh Mansour’s Manchester City.
Bloom told The Argus: “I am thoroughly looking forward to it, something we’ve been looking forward to for a while.
“We’re not there for just one season, we intend to be there for a while.
“That won’t be easy. The Premier League is really tough, we know that, and we are going to hopefully have a good season and enjoy being in the Premier League for many years to come.
“This is not the first step, because we’ve had many steps to get to this position.
“Being in the Premier League is massive but we don’t intend it to be the last by a long shot.”
Bloom has invested £250 million of his personal fortune into the club but the gambling guru will not embark on a crazy spending spree to keep Albion up.
“The amounts of money in the Premier League does equalise things a bit,” he said.
“Money is spent every season at every single club. We have to strengthen, that goes without saying. But we’re not looking to spend huge amounts.
“We’ll do things on a gradual basis, as we have done.
“We have good players already, and we want to strengthen from that position.”
Albion are 5-4 with betting giants Ladbrokes to spend at least the next three seasons in the Premier League and 5-2 five seasons or more.
They are 1-2 to avoid relegation next season, 6-4 to go down, 5-2 to beat arch-rivals Crystal Palace home and away, and 1,000-1 to win the League.
