Dale Stephens and Sam Baldock are poised to give Albion’s automatic promotion push a double lift.
The injured duo are back in training and boss Chris Hughton says they are “fine” for Burton Albion’s visit tomorrow.
Both have been sidelined by calf trouble, midfielder Stephens for the last three matches, striker Baldock for the last five.
The Seagulls have won the last five games they have started. Hughton will be hoping they spark a return to winning ways against Nigel Clough’s Burton, who he has labelled as “outstanding”, despite having only three teams below them.
“I know where they are in the league table, but what you have to take into consideration is where they’ve been in previous seasons,” Hughton said.
“The fact they’ve just got promoted, the budget they have, the ground and facilities, you have to take all of that into consideration when you’re looking at a job that somebody’s done.
“He’s a manager that I know reasonably well and I think he’s done an outstanding job there. They don’t give anybody an easy game, most of the games they’ve lost this season have been tight.
“I expect them to be that way right through until the end of the season, but when you’re a side that’s just been promoted, with the budgets they have, it’s always going to be tough.”
Albion left-back Gaetan Bong (knee) is ruled out of the defence for the eighth game in a row. Lewis Dunk returns in the middle from a one-match ban.
